We want to hear from you!

Five years ago, we launched We’re Right Here to make the case that people should have the power to shape their places. Since then, the conversation on community power has evolved. More organisations are championing it. Policymakers are listening and, at times, speaking our language.

This Spring, the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill will pass into law. It’ll include hard-won policies such as the Community Right to Buy, enabling people to take ownership of the places they love. None of this progress would have been possible without the supporters, partners and community leaders who’ve powered this movement from day one.

But despite this progress, communities still face an uphill battle to do their important work: forging connections between neighbours, tackling ill health and loneliness, planning affordable housing, boosting local economies. The solutions that places up and down our country are crying out for.

The groundwork is in place. A meaningful redistribution of power – one that gives everyone a stake in making their place better – is closer than it has been for a generation. We’re entering a new chapter of our campaign and we want to shape it with you.

What should our campaign prioritise? Where can we have the greatest impact? Take our survey by 17th April and help shape the future of community power.

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

How we’ll use your data

This survey will directly shape the future of We’re Right Here. The insights you share will be reviewed by our small team and used to shape the campaign’s priorities going forward. We’ll also use the data from this survey to demonstrate how important policy change is to those calling for community power.

We ask for some personal information in this survey so we can reach out to you to keep you informed about how the campaign is developing. This is completely optional! And we will only use it to update you on the campaign.
